In the smartphone era, we all have a million different apps at our disposal that serve a million different purposes. Sometimes we might even get overexcited and end up installing a lot of unnecessary apps on our phones.
Some of them will drain your storage and your battery life, but some others might pose a bigger risk when it comes to security.
There are dozens of hazardous apps popping up on the market every single day, and it is impossible for Google Play or even for the App Store to track them down and shut them off immediately. So, it is up to you to maintain the safety of your device and the information it contains.
Without further ado, here is your list of 8 apps that you should delete from your phone as soon as you can!
1. Forget about fast charging apps
We have lost count of the number of apps that promise to charge your phone extra fast. But this is a complete lie – there is a default setting that is responsible for your phone’s charging speed, and there is no app in the world that can change that. All in all, fast charging apps for android phones are useless, and all they do is stream a bunch of ads that can even appear when your screen is locked.
2. Don’t trust free games
There is a lot of money and effort involved when it comes to game development, and that is why you should be aware that free games always come with some hidden costs.
The free android games you can get from the Google App Store will either have a lot of advertising in between (which will be saved to cache, taking up a lot of space on your device’s storage), or they will try to steal your personal information in order to sell it – and the same goes for free movie apps, for example.
You can easily find a list of android games that are trustworthy and well known – and the best way to keep yourself safe is by reading the user agreement.
