6. Apps with privacy issues
There is no lack of apps in the market that require access to your phone number, contacts, text messages, photo gallery and location in order to work properly.
And yes, the majority of the most popular social media apps will require to access all of the above – and sometimes you won’t even realize it. Again, some of them won’t let you use them unless you allow them to have access to all that information, but that’s where you should be extra careful.
If you ever install a little-known app that requests access to your personal data, be sure to check the settings in the app manager. Unknown apps might pose a safety risk.
7. Built-in browsers
We want the best browser app, the fastest browser app, but we should really be concerned about getting a secure browser app.
By default, your smartphone will have a built-in browser that was pre-installed when you purchased the device. The cause for concern is the fact that these programs are not fully reliable when it comes to personal data protection, as well as protection against viruses, and they might also slow down the operating system on your phone.
8. Pointless apps
There was this one day when you downloaded the “best podcast app for android”, and then the “best camera app for android,” and then… you never used them again. How many apps like those do you have on your phone, and really, what are they doing there?
We even dare to bet that you forgot about the majority of them right after downloading them. These obsolete apps will do nothing but drain the battery and the memory out of your device, so maybe the time has come for a tech “spring cleaning,” what do you think?
Do you have any of the aforementioned apps downloaded on your android device? And if you do, do you feel motivated to clean up your phone?
