6 Settings You Should Change in Your New Smartphone!

    3. Improve battery life

Battery life is something that many users struggle with. The truth is that it can be difficult to stretch the battery so that it lasts a whole day, given that we are constantly using our smartphone. Manufacturers have been trying to improve this aspect over the last few years, not only by increasing the batteries themselves but also by optimizing resources. There are three of them we need to mention. The first one is the auto screen brightness. Disabling this feature and always having the brightness slider under 50% can make all the difference when it comes to battery life. You can do it from the control center on both iOS and Android phones. The other two are adaptive battery and battery optimization. These features use AI to learn how your phone is being used to optimize the amount of battery it uses. You can find them on the dedicated battery section within the phone’s settings Additional tip: if you like dark mode, you will be glad to know that it can save you a tiny bit of juice. Dark backgrounds are less power-hungry than white and bright ones.

    4. Make the most of your storage space

We all know how expensive iPhone storage is. Just look at the price difference between models with 64 GB of built-in memory and those with 128 GB or 256 GB. That’s when you know how valuable extra space storage can be. Thankfully there is this little thing called cloud storage. There are many cloud services you can use. You can then use your built-in smartphone tools to automatically backup files into the cloud and delete them from the device. This way, your files, and data are properly secured and no longer take up precious space in the phone’s memory (you can also set Google Photos or Apple’s Photos app to keep low-resolution copies of your original files).

    5. Disable sounds and vibrations

Having your smartphone vibrating every time you tap its screen or type a character is extremely annoying. Disabling this useless feedback is probably one of the first things you should do. Here’s how: Android devices: settings – sound iOS devices: settings – sounds & haptics Within these categories, you will have a series of customization options available. Enable and disable sounds and vibrations according to your preferences.
