3. Use ‘Find My iPhone’
The ‘Find My iPhone’ Feature is one of the best features that are present in Apple’s iPhone iOS 13 or any other iteration of this operating system. Therefore, you need to make sure that you enable it as soon as you buy your iPhone, be it an iPhone 6s or an iPhone 11 Pro. The iCloud Find My iPhone free feature allows you to pinpoint the exact location of your iPhone should it get stolen— (God forbid!)— using the GPS components that your iPhone has. Make sure that you do not forget to turn this feature on by doing a Find My iPhone sign in so that if your iPhone gets stolen, you will be able to locate it.
4. Use Touch ID or Face ID
If you want to take your security game to the next level with your iPhone, you need to make sure that you use the famous iPhone Touch ID (there is even MacBook Air touch ID) or the famous iPhone Face ID, both of which allow you to be the sole person that can have access to your iPhone. This is the ultimate security feature that you can have on your iPhone X or iPhone 11 Pro. If Face ID is not working, because you have an old iPhone, make sure that you make sure of Touch ID instead. You can also download some trusted iPhone security apps from the App Store to fortify your iPhone’s security.
5. Make Encrypted Backups
When you sync your phone with your computer, such as your personal laptop, all the information that you have stored on the iPhone 11, for example, will get stored on the computer. This means that anyone that has access to your computer has access to your iPhone’s information as well. Also, if the laptop gets lost, then your information could fall into the wrong hands, which is not a pleasant thing. Therefore, you need to make sure that all your backups of your iPhone 8, iPhone 7, or iPhone XS Max are encrypted backups. All you need to do is plug your iPhone to your computer, open Apple’s iTunes software and choose the option that says Encrypt iPhone Backup. This will make sure that only a password can open access to your iPhone information.
