Last Updated on November 16, 2020

    4. Moneyball (November 30)

Money Ball is one of the few Netflix movies on this list that’s based on a true story, not only that, but it was also nominated for six academy awards in 2011. The movie, directed by Bennet Miller, is based on a non-fiction book by Michael Lewis in 2003. The story is about a baseball team and their manager Billy Beane. In the film, Bean is portraited by Brad Pitt, and Jonah Hill plays his assistant. They decide to assemble a competitive team with a tiny budget, and they do this by using statistical data to analyze and scout players for the team. If you haven’t watched it yet, you sure should! Especially if you consider yourself a cinema fan because this one is in the top 50!

    5. Ocean’s Eleven (November 30)

Since we’re talking about Brad Pitt, let’s hop right into Ocean’s Eleven, an action/thriller movie by Steven Soderbergh. He also counts with the participation of George Clooney in the leading role, Julia Roberts, Andy Garcia, Matt Damon, and many others. Ocean’s Eleven is the first of the sequel, and for most people, it’s still the best one to this date. It’s about this team of ten accomplices whose plan is to successfully rob not one but three Las Vegas casinos at the same time. Besides “Ocean’s Eleven,” “Ocean’s Twelve” and “Ocean’s Thirteen” is also leaving Netflix at the end of the month, so take this as a sign to do a movie marathon this week!

    6. Lakeview Terrace (November 30)

If you enjoy a good thriller with a hint of suspense, then the 2008 movie Lakeview Terrace starring Samuel L Jackon is a great film for a Saturday night. The movie tells a story about a couple’s journey while moving into a new house, which soon takes a twist when their neighbor, a police officer, starts to disrupt their lives and privacy. The director Neil LaBute makes a social comment on police-harassment and brutality as well as inter-racial couples.

    7. West Side Story (November 30)

If you enjoy musicals and haven’t seen West Side Story, then what are you waiting for? It’s one of the best movies on Netflix from the ’60s, and it’s leaving on November 30! The 1961 musical, directed by Jerome Robbins and Robert Wise, tells the famous story of two rival gangs in New York, the Jets and Sharks, and how two of them fall in love. It is such a cinematic masterpiece that won two Oscars, won for best director and another for best picture! Plus, if you’re a fan of this movie, know that Steven Spielberg is working on an adaptation, and it’s coming out in 2021!
